LOH #261: Life, Gratitude, and Other Things

The past few months have been a lot of reflection on life and evaluating what I've done with it so far. And then I found a sweet spot: a sense of calm.
For some people who want to transcend everything, coming to terms with a sense of calm is usually very difficult. Because the fast pace and fear of competition can make a person feel constantly rushed even though no one is chasing them. I've been in that phase too, and it feels incredibly exhausting. It's as if if something they're pursuing fails even once, they feel the world is cruel and unfair. Ha ha ha, it's so funny when you think about it.

However, I then took a break. It turns out I forgot to take a moment and be grateful. Looking at how many good things I've received in this life instead of dwelling on failure? Yep... so many. I've received so much goodness, and I forgot to be grateful. And after my break, I felt calmer and wanted to be grateful for many things.
A small example today. The two phone cases I gave myself and my mom arrived. I'm happy because my mom is so happy with her cute new case. Mom's is flowery, and mine is catty.

Then I also managed to seal the open part of my phone with the glue I bought some time ago, and I was so happy. I'm grateful that I still have the glue in the container box, and now my phone is beautiful again.
Oh, one more thing, I'm also grateful for making sweet and spicy tempeh karage. LOL. This is a recipe I found on social media. It's a simple and creative menu, in my opinion. I imagine that when I become a mother, I'll have a wider variety of dishes made from simple ingredients. It tastes delicious too! I'm so grateful today. There's so much to be grateful for and thankful for in life and the people around me.
That's it. I hope that whoever we are in this world, I hope you are filled with gratitude and live a happy and peaceful life. Thank you for reading my writing. See you in the next contest.

Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.

Sometimes, a little break is all we need to come to terms with ourselves and see things from a better perspective. Glad you found your calm and peaceful spot :)
