J-Movie review: 1st Kiss
However, this time it is a film from Jeoang with a similar story, about a wife who is willing to travel through time to save her husband. It is titled 1st Kiss.
1ST KISS

On the day Suzuri Kanna (Matsuu Takako) is about to hand her husband Suzuri Kareru (Matsumura Hokuto) divorce papers, her home phone suddenly rings. She receives tragic news about her husband. Kareru is reported to have died after falling onto the train tracks while trying to save someone else.
Kanna is shocked by the news. During her days of mourning, she often talks to her husband's photo in her stuffy and dark apartment. Until one day, she realised she had to move on. She drove her car late at night, stepping on the accelerator with full force until, without realising it, as she passed through a tunnel, Kanna was thrown back 19 years to the day she first met her future husband, Kareru.

On her journey back to the past, Kanna tried her best to change various events so they wouldn't have to meet, hoping that perhaps Kareru wouldn't die at such a young age. Kanna was willing to return many times until she realised that the younger version of Kareru would still love Kanna, who would become his wife in the future, and Kanna would still love him. Repeatedly thrown back into the past with exhausting journeys, she realised that she would still love Kareru no matter what happened.
The exhausting journey through time made Kanna realise that no matter what happened, they would still meet, fall in love, and get married. Some decisions could be changed, but a person's destiny of life and death would not change. Both of them accepted their fate and chose to be together without problems or divorce until the end of their lives.
- Suzuri Kanna

She is a woman with a simple mind and a hard worker. One thing I noticed about Kanna is that she prefers open communication in relationships (like most women). She wants everything about her marriage to be clear and dislikes Kaeru's increasingly cold attitude, which has become more and more distant over the years. She prioritises her family and those closest to her over strangers.
- Suzuri Kareru

In contrast to Kanna, although both are hard workers, Kareru's values in life are different from Kanna's. Kareru is more often quiet and not very open about communication, which makes the atmosphere in their household cold. He also always prioritises the interests of others over the things he should be prioritising. These different orientations are the seeds of their marital breakdown.
Very good. Especially to watch with your partner to re-examine each other's values. To reflect on what you are doing to maintain your marriage, and also to be more sensitive and open about communication and to appreciate each other's roles.
That concludes this review. Thank you for reading my review. May there be many good things in our lives that we can enjoy. See you in the next review.

Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
