DESIGN OF LOKANANTA: old and modern design combined
In Surakarta there is Lokananta which is a favorite place for young people to gather and relax. Therefore, on the second day in Solo I decided to look for a place to stay close to Lokananta so that I could visit Lokananta even though I was short of time. And do you know what happened? It turned out that the distance between my place to stay and Lokananta was only about 100 meters! That was very very close. I was almost hysterical when I found out. Hysterical because I was so happy. I didn't expect the distance to be that close.
After tidying up my things, taking a shower, and taking headache medicine, because my head had been hurting so much since last night, I rushed to Lokanan on foot. In less than ten minutes, I arrived at my destination. That afternoon the sky was cloudy.
LOKANANTA
From the main page, of course, the old record museum building. On the upper roof, there is the writing LOKANANTA. Lokananta, which was originally the first record place in Indonesia, was later used as a record museum as well as a place to hold various music performances and events.
In addition to the gallery and record store, Lokananta also has many food tenants such as: Sanzi Claypot, Honky Tonky Pizza Bar, Sedjuk Bakmi and Kopi, Filosofi Kopi, etc.
From the left side of the hallway, there are rows of lamps hanging neatly. With the floor made of plaster. While the roof is left open without a ceiling
In this row on the right, there is a set of tables and chairs arranged sporadically. The table set with chairs in the form of a short bench without a backrest. Even in this area it already feels comfortable. No wonder this place is a favorite place to hang out
When I was about to go to the middle of the Lokananta area, I actually found a bathroom first with the walls left in cement color to give a minimalist impression. For lighting, closet cubicles and sink areas, everything is very well maintained and very clean. I was honestly amazed by the cleanliness in this area.
After the toilet I then went to the middle area where I could find an open field that was being arranged because there would be a Lokananta music festival soon. Then in the middle there is an open pavilion that can be used by visitors to relax. This pavilion is quite spacious with the floor covered in ceramics, and the roof is shaped like a joglo house.
Next to this pavilion there is a seating area which is also a tribune. You can see that the entire area is very clean and very neatly arranged. As usual, the tribune is of course made of permanent concrete.
From behind this tribune I found another alley that led to the original beginning. It's just that here I found food and coffee shops like Filosofi Kopi. All the cafes, tenants, and others did not give a strange or messy impression. Toong-tong samhap is also available at many points, so visitors have no trouble finding a place to throw away the trash they bring. Overall, I really like the atmosphere at Lokananta. If we want to relax and chat with a friend or special friend, I'm sure Lokananta will not be the wrong place.
So that's the design and layout of Lokananta that I want to share with friends on this forum. Thank you for reading my review. See you in the next post.
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
