COFFEE AND I

Hello, cafein lover

How was your week?
Can you get through the day without coffee? Or are you the type who has to start the day with a coffee for some reason.

In my daily life, I have a coffee ritual. And... I kind of make it a mandatory thing. Maybe because for me coffee is a kind of booster so that I can live my activities more vigorously. But does that mean I'm addicted to it?

I guess...I dunno. Because when I'm off work, I just don't drink coffee. And I don't feel anything about it. So, I assure you that my coffee ritual is only for the booster at work.

Why do I seem to be addicted to coffee? Back in the day, when I first entered the theatre scene and often rehearsed late into the night, my teammates would introduce me to delicious Indonesian coffee. Most of the time. They introduced me to single origins of both robusta and arabica variants.

I remember the first single origin that I fell in love with was Gayoo from Aceh. Until now, it seems to be the number one in my heart: Gayoo, either Gayo honey or the very distinctive and fragrant Gayo wine. But that doesn't mean I can't taste other types of coffee. Of course, I will very willingly taste many types of coffee in this world. Wherever I go.

And of course Arabica is my favourite. I don't really get along with roobustka. In my stomach, it feels very heavy. By the way, while we're on the subject of coffee. A few days ago, I just bought gayo arabica coffee from one of the local brands recommended by a social media platform. ARATULA.

I don't know why the first time I saw it, I thought it was tarantula. LOL.

The Gayo Aratula I ordered was a medium grind. I deliberately chose the medium one for some reason. Maybe it's because I usually choose the finer type, so I ordered the medium this time.

With medium acidity, Aratula's gayo has been my daily companion for almost a week now. I brew it once every morning, without any added sugar, milk, or cream. I like the subtle hint of wine in this coffee. Unique, right?

So, to conclude this post, yes I do have to drink coffee every day and I enjoy it. One of my dreams, I want to drink coffee until I'm old. Hahaha... thank you for reading my writing. See you in the next post.

A cozy and powerful way to start the day. I think having a ritual like that is more about grounding yourself than being addicted. Coffee can be a comfort, a motivator, and a little daily joy all in one.🥰
