CATCHING UP WITH OLD FRIENDS WHILE ENJOYING THE SUNSET

How do you spend your holidays when you go back to your hometown? Apart from being nostalgic about a place, or a meaning, of course you also want to meet old friends, right? That's also what I do every time I go home.

This morning, I exchanged news with two friends from high school. They were very enthusiastic about the news of my arrival. Then, it didn't take long for us to promise to meet each other later at a restaurant I'd been to.

Around 4pm, we finally met at the promised place. Luckily, the place wasn't too full yet, so we could choose our spot freely. Since there are many beautiful spots in this restaurant, we first sat in the centre area without a view. We would just enjoy the menu that we ordered first.

What I ordered was a portion of ifu noodles which was very delicious. The fresh soup with fresh vegetables added a plus point to this dish. This way, I can recommend this menu if a friend asks me about my favourite menu at this restaurant one day.

Aside from the fresh ingredients and the right seasoning, the portion of ifu noodles is also quite generous. So, it's worth the price charged for this menu.

For drinks, I tried another menu. If my previous visit was to sample the coffee, this time I tried the herbal drinks that were also available. A mixture of ginger and lemongrass with a subtle sweetness, it was really good. It was served chilled in the middle of a rather sultry afternoon. Waaahh... I felt like I was enjoying a healthy cold drink.

The three of us have different professions. You, who migrated to the big city, run a small food business, while one of my friends works as a teacher at an Islamic elementary school. Uniquely, my friend is the teacher of my eldest niece. So, in addition to telling me about his daily life, I can also ask him about the attitude of my nephew while at school.

Meanwhile, my other friend is a teller at a private sharia-based bank. The bank where he works is the bank where I saved money when I was in junior high school. Because the bank was located very close to my school, we students could go to the bank to deposit our savings during the second break. Finally, I could hear what it was like to be a teller at a bank? Is it that much fun to see money all the time? LOL. I also got to know the obstacles that bank tellers might face every day.

We continued chatting while eating our respective foods, until without realising it, the sunset was already visible in the western horizon. The sky turned orange, and the trees darkened into silhouettes. I often enjoy this kind of atmosphere. The clear afternoon sky.

Not forgetting, we also took a photo together, when else can we gather three of us like this? Apart from time, the factor of many personal needs is often an obstacle for me to meet with friends from school.
Satisfied with sharing stories, laughing together, filling my stomach with satiety, and photographing the sunset, I decided to go home before it got really dark. The distance from the restaurant to my house was about thirty minutes by motorbike. We parted ways and went home with a pleasant impression.
