TIL that when you're installing windows 11, you can install with a local account by pressing shift+F10
and running
start ms-cxh:localonly

When I updated to windows 11 about two months ago I wasn't met with any issues for using only local account. Maybe because it was an update and not a fresh install?
I even updated on unsupported hardware, using the official win11 😃

Yeah. You can convert your Microsoft Account to a Local Account. This is my first time noticing you can install from a Local Account. Honestly, I don't see a problem with having both. It's useful if you need to install software for a machine that isn't going to be yours like for a friend or a relative. Just set them up with a local account and if they want to setup their Microsoft account, they can do that later.
