To succeed in your life journey, you need both discipline and motivation.
Hello, beautiful people of the Hive Reachout community. It feels good to be here with you guys again. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Back to the question of the day, which says. Discipline vs motivation.
Well, to me, for someone who wants to be successful in life, you actually need both the discipline and motivation. Come in with me; let's define discipline and motivation and see which is bigger. Let's have fun, guys. So what do you understand by the word "discipline"? To me, Discipline is an act of self-control that is gained by requiring that rules or orders be obeyed and the ability to keep working at something that is difficult.
How about motivation? Motivation is the internal drive that compels someone to act or behave in a certain way to achieve a goal. It's the reason behind our actions, the force that pushes us to pursue what we want and to persist in the face of obstacles. Now let me give some examples using myself. So discipline is something I grew up with; I always know what to do at the right time because I was taught. For instance, I went to the market to get something, and somehow I had an issue with someone that could lead to a fight.
Now, me coming from a background of a responsible home, the first thing I could think of at the moment is "control yourself," the disgrace i could give my myself in the later day discipline has helped or will help me overcome it. and at the end of the day, if I did not fight there, one of the first things people could tell me is that, "Weldon, madam, you really come from a disciplined home." And have a self control which saves my reputation at that moment.
For motivation, let me also give you another example using myself yet again. Now waking up every day to do somethings is motivation, and I can tell that my motivation every day is my children. I'm motivated by them to always do good, even if it might seem difficult at times but for them I can do anything. Like now I really don't feel like writing anything today, but because I've promised myself to make sure I build myself on this platform hive, I'm motivated to write, and here I am writing. I hope this even make sense to someone.
Seeing my children everyday motivates me to do the right thing as a mother, not just for myself but for the future. Another instance I could give is. I'm maybe sick and don't want to go to the hospital or take my medicine, but because of my children, because I don't want to die and leave them motherless. I will be motivated to take the medication, because, I mean, will I want my children to be motherless? No. So to me motivation is leading. I could choose motivation over again. PREACH AND TEACH YOUR CHILDREN, NOT ADULTS/STRANGERS, YOU PRIMITIVES WITH DELUSIONS
Discipline is the foundation while motivation is like the paint to the house of success.
The finishing touches right, you got it. Thanks for reading through.
