Their thoughts verses my reality

Their thoughts my life. Greetings, beautiful ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for stopping by my blog. The theme for this week says, What do people often assume about your life that you want to correct or confirm? People are going through a lot, and not everyone wants pity from the public, so they try as much as possible not to look like their problems.

Back then in school, I don't know if I was looking or, let's say, how good and expensive the clothes I was wearing looked, but I was seriously misjudged. Thinking I'm coming from a rich background. In the fellowship I was attending back in my school days, which is the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), every new semester the fellowship would remove money from their savings and pick like ten students to pay for their school fees, so in my final year, things became difficult for me to the extent that I don't have school fees and don't have anyone to help, because my siblings are also struggling at home too.

So When they asked orphans who do not have school fees to submit their names, I did, and our FCS president then called me aside and said, "The way you dress, I will never believe that you don't have school fees to pay." He said, "In fact, the school fees we are paying are not for your type." I was speechless and didn't even know where to start defending myself from. People looked at me from afar and just concluded that I'm from a rich home. Not knowing that some days it is my friend that feeds me or I sometimes sleep on an empty stomach.

Someone like me doesn't like telling people my problem. I hate it when you pity me; it makes me look like a liability. So I try as much as possible not to look like my problems. I sometimes explain to some people about my situation, but I have to check very well the level of your maturity and understanding before opening up. That is me, I try to change how people see me, to some it worked to some they never believe me. Some people seriously believe I was from a rich home, which is not true I was just packaging myself 🤣🤣🤣Thank you for stopping by. See you next time.
