The story behind my username

Thirdson

Usernames are our identity here, and they are what make us unique because they are very sensitive, as only one person can have one username in this Hive. Although usernames may look alike, they can never be exactly the same; there must always be differences. I love how this Hive platform made usernames valuable because our username also serves as our wallet. If money is sent to the wrong username, that money is as good as lost if the receiver cannot be contacted. So, our username is *very important and unique.

The reason behind my username is a very lovely one, and even if, when I tried to register, I was told the username had already been taken, I would have still used it by adding numbers to make it unique.

"Thirdson" is not part of my real name, but I always wished my parents had given me that name when I was born. I grew up knowing someone who had the name, and it sounded so unique and interesting to me. Surprisingly, I fell in love with it even more when I found out that the person was actually the third child of his parents and that his parents named him according to his position in the family.

I am also the third child, and I wished my parents had thought of giving me that name. So, Thirdson has been my username on several of my online accounts that require one. Therefore, when I joined this Hive, I did not think twice before using the username.

If I had the chance to change it, would I do that? I would not. I want to be known by this name in my online virtual world. Like I said earlier, even if I found out that the username had already been used, I would still use the main name but simply add numbers to differentiate it and allow the registration to process.

I love my username so much, and I want it to stick with me forever.
