Most beautiful resolution of the year

The start of a year is when people settle down and draft out goals for the year, as well as habits or lifestyles they want to stop or acquire. At that moment, the urge to ride with the resolution is always strong because the year is fresh and no mistakes have been made yet. In this writing prompt, I am not going to talk about my personal resolutions but rather talk about one of the most beautiful goals I have seen people set.

This is not something far-fetched or something I saw on the internet. I have a friend who, along with his girlfriend, has marked this year as their marriage year. And this is not just a casually written resolution; the work process has already begun.

They have been dating for about three years. They had made plans to tie the knot last year, but problems struck from every angle, including finances, and they had to give up on the plan. But now, they are taking the bull by the horns.

The date has not been fixed yet, but it is going to be within the first quarter of the year. Anytime I think about it, it looks beautiful to see the two of them finally coming together as a family.

This resolution is one that will require a lot of money from them. It is going to be a difficult one because organizing a wedding event in Nigeria is very expensive. This is why they have decided to take it seriously by preparing from the start of the year, when the target is still very fresh in their minds. And although the beginning-of-the-year expenses are heavy, they are determined.

This is beautiful, and I wish them success as they plan and smash this goal. I pray that problems do not come their way again, or even if problems come, they will be strong and determined enough to overcome them.
