Living by passion and survival
Man’s life, as it's supposed to be, is to live according to one's passion, where he does the things he likes, the things that give him joy, while he earns a living from it and lives effortlessly. But this has not been the case with the situation of the world for a very long time, especially in this modern day, where things are so hard. Many, instead of living according to passion, are just living to survive, what we call mere existing.
It may interest you to know that a lot of people are in this category of just existing, but they do not want to accept it or accept the name because it appears like a downgrade. But that is the real truth we are facing in the world today, a world where someone is just working to feed and finds it very hard to make a tangible establishment.
I’m currently experiencing both. As a young guy who’s pushing very hard to settle in life, I’m pursuing my goals, trying to get a life where I’ll live by passion, and also just existing, doing jobs that are not okay with my thoughts and whole system just to survive, just to abstain from begging or calling my parents every now and then for financial help.
I’m not shy to admit that I’m practically living to feed right now. I’m not shy to admit that I’m currently existing, pushing very hard to leave this zone to finally settle, and I hope I get to that stage one day.
For now, the jobs that present themselves, which are in line with someone’s passion, are either very low-paid or, the ones that are highly paid, are not easy to get. So we just settle for the ones that are not in line with us, just to earn and survive. A lot of people are into this, and I’m among them. As long as the pay is coming and it’s able to foot some bills, it’s better we settle on them than to stay idle, waiting for the ones that are in line with our passion and are highly paid.
