All music is good; we only consider the type we like most as the best. Meanwhile, other people treasure so much the ones we don't like. So, picking a side as the best type of music is a difficult task unless it's basically going to be done based on personal preference, and on that note, I will go ahead to talk about the country that has the best kind of music.

I'm a die-hard lover of the African kind of music, so I'm going to pick Nigeria as the country with the best music.

As far as Africa is concerned, Nigeria is the powerhouse of music on the continent, and it didn't start in this modern age, it has been there for a long time.

The recognition is not by how famous the artists are, but by the pure craft of music that comes from Nigeria.

Initially, there was nothing like the Afrobeats genre of music. People only knew Hip-Hop, R&B, and the rest, but the Nigerian style of music became very strong and pronounced in the world—so irresistible that the world decided to add the Afrobeats genre to the list of music genres. Till today, if you go to some websites to search for a “list of music genres,” you might not see Afrobeats mentioned because it was initially not listed there. That goes to show that Afrobeats, which is well known today, was never part of the list in the beginning.

In the olden days, the likes of Fela Kuti and the Igbo highlife songwriters such as Oliver De Coque and Osita Osadebe were key figures who lifted the native-like kind of songs to the world. Recognitions were made when foreigners started tripping for the songs—not just Nigerians or Africans.

So, the Nigerian music that is very global now didn’t start today. The interest in the songs was picked by a large number of people around the world, and it didn't just start today.

Nigerian music comes with a lot of vibes, such as creative acts in displays and dance styles, and these are some of the things that make it very unique and interesting. From time to time, artists release songs and creatively introduce a unique dance step for the song, and that becomes the signature of the song.
These dancesteps are never the foreign types, no, they come very unique, maybe a swinging of hand, or a funny twist of the legs and even shaking of the head.
