Hardcopy books over ebooks

Aside from the impact or refreshing moments in reading books, there are other things that a reader picks up and gets more excitement from while reading a book. To some, they love it more when they read books via their phone because it gives them ease and offers the opportunity to attend to messages from notifications when messages start dropping from different apps, while some prefer hardcopy books because it makes them feel real and undisturbed, unlike reading with a phone.

The category I belong to is the traditional way of reading which is hardcopy books.

There's a lot to my love for this pattern and to why I haven't left it to switch to the trending and now famous way of reading (the ebooks pattern).
Using my Bible as an example: I know it's a spiritual book and we are encouraged to settle on the rhema and not just the casual words, but I love the brown colour of my Bible, and it gives me a kind of special feeling whenever I'm reading it. The scent is not left out. That smell has a way of assuring me that I'm reading and hearing from God. This sounds funny, but that's the truth.
The smell of hardcopy books, especially the kind that I'm familiar with, makes me feel very relaxed when reading them.
Also, flipping the pages one after the other and seeing the volume I have smashed is another sweet feeling on its own. I know this is the same with the ebook pattern, but I bet you, this is sweeter. It appears very real because it's physical.

Back then, I wasn't so into buying books, but seeing the fees ones I had in my cupboard (I don't have a bookshelf), give me a satisfying feeling. Just like how people boast of the books they have in their possession, I make my boasts too. 😂

I have read many times when people first of all point out the simplicity of reading ebooks compared to hardcopy books, with regards to how the hardcopy needs to be carried everywhere. Well, that's true, but the hardcopy, because I'm used to it, doesn't inconvenience me at all.

Thanks.
