Give him an inch

Around evening today, I went out to a shop where they sell building materials to buy a measuring tape which I was going to give to someone who is coming to do some carpentry work for me. A boy walked in and told the woman who owns the shop that he wanted to buy nails.

Pixabay “Okay, how many inches?” the woman asked the boy, but the boy seemed to have forgotten the size he was told to buy, and upon seeing how confused and funny his face appeared, we all burst into laughter while the woman kept asking him what size of nails he was going to buy. A guy who was close by jokingly said, “Give him an inch,” and we burst into laughter again.
