Genetic wishes

This writing idea is a good one because I have thought of this scenario many times. Using myself as an example, there are some traits I wish I could just adopt into my life and some I wish I could push very far away from me. I wish we had the power to create or select traits we want to see in ourselves.

Also, I have seen children, especially school pupils, who appeared so dull academically, and when I looked closely, I saw that academic illiteracy is something that's common in their families. I often wish I could just remove their brains and replace them with another kind. This same thing occurs in different forms, in different scenarios, and I have often wished that if I had the power to create my own child, I would instill in them the kind of character I want, let them have some of my good traits and also possess other good traits that I do not have.

I would want my children to be mesomorphic and chocolate in complexion. I don't want them to be chubby or too slim; I just want them to have a perfect body size as they grow up, so they don't encounter body shaming of any kind in the future. I remember how a lot of chubby people during my secondary school days got bullied a lot, and it was so bad because it was something they couldn't help. The chocolate complexion is something I admire so much. It gives a balanced look—neither too fair nor too dark.

If I had the opportunity to do that, I would want my children to be extremely intelligent in all areas, especially in academics. I know I'm not fully there, but I wouldn't want them to settle for my level of intelligence. I want them to be exceptionally bright to the extent that passing examinations would be easy peasy for them. I don't want them to repeat any class as I once did. I want them to amaze their teachers and lecturers while being taught in school.

Also, their intelligence will not be limited to academics, just as I mentioned. They will be able to speak confidently to multitudes without fear or stage fright, unlike me. I'm more of a keyboard person, but speaking to a large crowd scares me. I want them to be the complete opposite of me in that trait.
