RE: ATMs are a total rip-off in Serbia. How to avoid a 25% plus fee on every withdrawal.

I visited often in the past, got friends in Novi Sad, and I paid my hotel with Euro, and also some other places took Euro as payment. Can't remember where I got dinar from, maybe I exchanged it at a bank in Vienna, but I still have a stash in my 'foreign' wallet. Most of the time when we went out, my friends paid for me, and vice versa, when they are in Vienna, I pay for them.
