The Unseen Foundation: Building a Life with Discipline When Nothing Is Secure.

A famous writer that I know said these words: "Goals on the road to achievement cannot be achieved without discipline and consistency."

Hmm! Looking back to my goals for the year, would I say that I have failed? No, I can't. However, I can say that I didn't quite acquire the main goals. It is not stagnancy; I am building myself up for better.

Financially, I am used up. As a mother with four kids, I wonder how I was able to feed these kids. It looks like as I am getting this money, I am spending it—no savings and all.

Career-wise, I am developing myself. I went for a course and now I am almost done. I am ready for the next promotion activities.

However, it is sad that the son of man has no roof to stay after this year. Hmmm! I need to get ready for next year's housing bills if I don't want to end up on the streets of Lagos.

However, this year has been a generally tough year because of inflation. I want to visit quintessential places like Owu Waterfall in Kwara State. I have visited Erin Ijesha Waterfall, which is closer to my origin.

Last year, I paid a visit to the famous Ikogosi Warm Spring. This spring was discovered in 1852 by Rev. John S. McGee from his mission in Igede Ekiti.

This new year, I have to create new goals. One is to help my kids achieve their academic goals. Another is to get suitable housing, and another is to increase enormously on the Hive platform.

There are very many more goals that I can't mention. However, to achieve these goals, one must generate a working plan.

The problem in life is that one might not do everything perfectly. It is better done than never. I remembered vividly how a colleague of mine didn't have the capital to float a standard school; however, he started with a two-bedroom flat apartment and today, he runs a standard school.

In fact, starting small is one principle of entrepreneurship education. However, this year, I have seen a close neighbor of mine trying to build a school in December—a plan that should not be done in a day. At the end of it all, they couldn't complete it. Can you imagine?

So, next year, my goal is to start early and be steady until it becomes many. Achievement is not a day job. It is not. I must be ready to discipline myself, as no one is too old to learn new things. Finally, I have to reignite the passion for newness in my academic journey.
