Movie review: Bless This House

“Bless this house” was released in 1972.

It is a comedy with a plot revolving around the comical situations faced by the family of a well-established sales rep in Britain in the early 1970s.

The main character of the movie is the father of the family.

He is in sales, and owns a spacious house according to modern standards.

He tries to be strict and easy-going at the same time, which is perhaps due to the flexible approach that he should have as a salesman.

Although he seems to be successful as a professional and relatively well-off, he sometimes struggles to follow the changes that his children go though as they grow up to become adults.

This is where his troubles start and never seem to end.

His wife always stands by him and is a voice of reason and simplicity amid the chaos that develops during the movie.

Her only act of independence is to run her own stall selling antiques, even though her husband believes that it is not a reputable business, despite being a salesman himself.

Their son tries to find his path in life as a working student with a keen interest in cars painted in hippie colors, while their daughter has fallen in love with Biology and has set herself a goal to save the environment.
