Looks like you succeeded! Delegating $LEO to leo.voter doesn't get you rewards however. You have to delegate $HIVE to leo.voter to get LEO rewards.

You don't lose it. The power is just the other accounts to use until you undelegate it.
You still "own" it but lose it's use while delegated.
