Monomad Challenge: The Churches of Rome
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge. Here are photos I took inside some of the most beautiful churches Rome a few summers ago.
The interior of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the four major papal basilicas.
A handsome young man at the Chiesa del Santissimo Nome di Gesù, which is the mother church of the Society of Jesus (aka the Jesuits).
The apse mosaic of the Basilica di San Clemente al Laterano.
A closeup of the crucifix of the apse mosaic of the Basilica di San Clemente al Laterano.
There are twelve sculptures of the twelve apostles within the Arcibasilica Papale del Santissimo Salvatore e Santi Giovanni Battista ed Evangelista in Laterano. This is the sculpture of St. Matthew.

Many churches have always seemed interesting to me because of their structures and your pictures only give the reason for that, excellent photos!
Thanks. It's how I spend most vacations: going to art museums and churches!
