Village love in the glow of community spirit/ Dorf-Love im Lichterglanz der Gemeinschaft

It was a very special experience that we were able to enjoy in our village this Advent: the farmyard Advent calendar. As soon as the carriage pulls up and everyone gets in, the little journey begins through the festively decorated streets to the farm that is scheduled for today's door. Wrapped in warm blankets, you can hear the rhythmic clatter of the carriage and the crunching of the wheels as the mood slowly builds. You never know exactly what to expect and what surprise the respective farm has in store.

Every evening, a new ‘door’ opens – and each time there is something different waiting inside. The hosts have put so much love and effort into decorating their farms that you can immediately sense how much they want to bring joy to everyone. Sometimes there are fairy lights in the trees, sometimes there are small nativity scenes, and sometimes there is the smell of freshly baked biscuits.

Of course, there is also plenty to eat and drink: delicious biscuits, small pieces of cake and other treats, accompanied by warm drinks such as punch or mulled wine. Some prepare whole platters of bread, others offer currywurst or soups. It's always an experience, and you go there without any expectations, because everyone organises the evening as best they can. Not only our farmers, but also residential groups get together in good fellowship and invite everyone to join in the fun.

The best thing is the community spirit. You meet neighbours, strike up conversations, laugh together and feel how much this ritual brings the village together. Being part of it makes me happy. Even though you often bump into each other in the village, an experience like this brings people closer together and gives them the opportunity to get to know each other better. Wonderful connections were made, and I got to know some great people. We sang Christian songs and ended the evening that way – it was simply wonderful!

This is how Advent becomes a celebration that not only lights up our homes, but also our hearts. Have a wonderful week and enjoy every little thing. 💚

Es war ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis, das wir in diesem Advent in unserem Dorf genießen durften: der Hof-Adventskalender. Schon wenn die Kutsche vorfährt und man sich gemeinsam hineinsetzt, beginnt die kleine Reise durch die festlich geschmückten Straßen zum Hof, der für das heutige Türchen vorgesehen ist. Eingehüllt in warme Decken hört man das rhythmische Klappern der Kutsche und das Knirschen der Räder, während die Stimmung langsam aufkommt. Man weiß nie genau, was einen erwartet und welche Überraschung der jeweilige Hof vorbereitet hat.

An jedem Abend öffnet sich ein neues „Türchen- Hoftor“ – und jedes Mal wartet eine andere Besonderheit. Die Gastgeber haben ihre Höfe mit so viel Liebe und Mühe gestaltet, dass man sofort spürt, wie sehr sie allen eine Freude bereiten wollen. Mal leuchten Lichterketten in den Bäumen, mal sind kleine Krippen aufgebaut, mal duftet es nach frisch gebackenen Plätzchen.

Natürlich gehört auch das leibliche Wohl dazu: Es gibt köstliche Kekse, kleine Kuchenstücke und andere Leckereien, dazu warme Getränke wie Punsch oder Glühwein. Manche bereiten ganze Platten mit Broten vor, andere bieten Currywurst oder Suppen an. Es ist jedes Mal ein Erlebnis, und man geht ohne Erwartungen hin, denn jeder gestaltet den Abend so, wie er kann. Nicht nur unsere Landwirte, sondern auch Wohngruppen organisieren sich in guter Gemeinschaft und laden zum Wohl aller ein.

Das Schönste ist die Gemeinschaft. Man trifft Nachbarn, kommt ins Gespräch, lacht zusammen und spürt, wie sehr dieses Ritual das Dorf verbindet. Dabei zu sein macht mich glücklich. Auch wenn man sich im Dorf öfter begegnet, schweißt so ein Erlebnis enger zusammen und bietet die Möglichkeit, sich besser kennenzulernen. Es wurden wunderbare Kontakte geknüpft, und ich habe großartige Menschen kennengelernt. Wir haben christliche Lieder gesungen und so den Abend ausklingen lassen – einfach herrlich!

So wird der Advent bei uns zu einem Fest, das nicht nur die Häuser erhellt, sondern auch die Herzen. Ich wünsche euch eine schöne Woche und genießt jede Kleinigkeit. 💚
