Wealth doesn't come from cutting a $3 coffee expense.

It comes from:

• Boosting your income
• Investing in assets that grow in value
• Living below your means

Straightforward, but not effortless.

100% agree with this

My favorite book that has concepts about this is called “the richest man in Babylon” have you ever read it?

Haven't read it yet, but I've heard good things about it. Might check it out soon since it’s on my list

It doesn't but if you want money to invest you need to cut the unnecessary expenses and put more into those assets that will grow in value.

Then when you have lots of money you won't need to sweat the small stuff.

True, although difficult to assimilate and put in practice.

Totally get that, it’s tough to internalize and act on. Takes discipline and a shift in mindset to prioritize long-term gains over short-term comfort.

  • Living below your means,

This is where the real trouble begins. Peer pressure can be real. In a society where respect is measured by what you have.

Nevertheless, living below one's means is truly the way forward.

Peer pressure is a real hurdle for sure. It’s tough to stay disciplined when society pushes you to show off. Staying below your means takes grit but pays off big time

I learned this thing you just explained from a colleague earlier this year.

That dude isn't move by what people say or think about him. I thought for a moment we were on the same level financially.

Not until one day I saw an alert on his phone.

That dude is derm wealthy yet I normally buy lunch for him 😫😫.

I had to asked him why he disguised himself.

He told me something beautiful.

"Build your wealth first before you spend. Know when it is your seed and when it is your harvest. Else you'll be spending your seed thinking it's your harvest."

Then I realized I have been eating my seed all these years 😭😭😭, thinking I am living a great life.

Damn, that's a powerful lesson. Eating your seed instead of planting it hits hard. Your colleague's got wisdom—build first, spend later. Gotta remember that one
