The Run-A-Muck Garden is Finally Starting to Produce!

I'll admit, I got a bit of a later start with getting my garden going this year, so watching people picking produce like crazy already while my garden hasn't been producing much of anything, has been frustrating to say the least. Really all it takes is some patience! My strawberries produced a bit in late May, but then stopped in the middle of last month. Come to find out they only fruit one time a year, but at least I have the foundation for some good berries next year.

I have also been dealing with bugs, hornworms, and a fungus on my tomato plants due to the massive amounts of rain we have had. So it's a constant battle between man and nature just to have some fresh food to eat that isn't purchased at a store and pumped full of GMO garbage.

I was out checking some things in the garden when I saw some yellow popping out in my yellow zucchini plants. So I went to check it out and see how things were starting to develop. Low and behold, all I had to do was move a couple of big leaves and BOOM!

I'm telling you what, if my zucchini was that big, I would be in a whole other profession, LOL!!! That's a big boy! I dug around a bit more and found another and then a couple of more that needed to keep growing. So I picked the 2 that were the biggest and called it a day!

After being a bit frustrated, this was certainly a huge win for my motivation in the garden. So all it's going to take is just some learning experiences, and some patience and I will be rewarded with some bountiful harvest! I also have a few little cantaloupes starting to bloom too which is encouraging as well! But I'll give them their own post!

Until next time...

Keep being ungovernable, grow fresh food, and just enjoy your life!

We rented a little field to plant some veggies. My wife and here best friend are working there and also have to struggle with the bugs and weather. In the five years we are doing this, we got tomatoes only once. Sad but I remember how delicious they have been.

Sanity permitting, I'm going to be hopefully getting a greenhouse and berb guarden set up soon.
Got a lot of other stuff that need doing first like fixing and mocing a shed and cleaning up the garden.

After that its making the greenhouse which I'm going to use an old aquarium I have lying around to build the bulk of it. It'll probably only fit one plan in it but hey thats the space I have to work with.

Living in a terrice house the gardens are tiny.

I'd love to grow some marrow too, reletive used to grow some and they grew super big, one was a meal in itself.

Every little bit helps! You can find all kind of gardening things to print too to save some money and make it as much of a DIY setup as possible.

Brilliant yellow color! That caught my eyes and I'm glad you were able to find those in your garden. I'm sure more is coming!
