that's a whole post to get into the mechanics... Basically the real price is the internal market which is the on-chain exchange. The CoinGecko price is the last sold price on like 1 or random centralized exchange that HBD is on.

Got it. I thought the Coingecko price is the real price and the on chain price is fetched from Coingecko or something along those lines.

on CoinGecko yes, super low liquidity does that on centralized exchanges.

On the internal market it’s much better, thanks to hbd stabilizer it is always very close to $1

Well that probably means you can make money with the conversion process now

Unless the price changes a lot over 3,5 days, which is hard to predict
