Eh, the stock market shouldn't have anything to do with the US govt's credit rating, so didn't surprise me that we didn't see anything.

Of course they do. Still, like I said, no major impact probably cos the downgrade wasn't a surprise:

The only effect it would have would be on treasury bonds, but wouldn't have anything to do with the actual stock prices of US based companies, unless they were completely overweight in treasuries. The US government's credit rating, again, has nothing to do with the US stock market.
