The adventures in 3D printing continue. I am really just printing off some things so that one, I can learn how all this works, and two, I am blowing through some old PLA filament that my buddy gave me with my 3rd printer that I am just trying to use up. I have been printing different things like a phone stand, which I actually works great as a stand for this logo, so therefore half of this print is considered a functional print, haha. I printed up a better organizer for my nightstand so I used my first functional print as the stand for the Hive logo! I'll say it looks nice sitting in between my DJ monitors!

This design was something I downloaded from Thingiverse and was designed by @tibfox, so thanks for the cool design! There are a few Hive blockchain logo related items on Thingiverse, but this one was by far the coolest in my opinion. Now I am finished up with the red PLA filament after this print, so it's now time to change over to the PETG that I am going to be using for my gardening and hydroponics equipment and get started with some serious production for the homestead farm!

With the addition of the 3D printer farm, my homestead farming business has changed from selling food that I produce, to selling the stuff you need to produce your own food! I have a feeling that this side of things can grow and scale way better than trying to get into commercial food production. Plus, instead of giving you the fish, you can learn how to fish, you know the metaphor.

So now it's time to get some prototypes made, see what I am going to be selling on eBay and Etsy, as well as on the Hivelist.Store and Monero Market. Once I can get the first main products dialed in, it's off to the races.

Let me know what you think of this fun Hive logo with the stand! Until next time my dudes...

Na, the machines did all the work, haha. Total credit goes to @tibfox for the logo design. I had the thought of using my phone stand I printed the other day, haha.

It’s a great design! It was perfect to help me finish off my roll of galaxy red PLA, haha.

This looks fantastic, and inspires me to make another trip to Thingiverse later! I'm eagerly looking forward to your posts about working with PETG. I tried using it in the past, for exactly the sort of things you are planning to use it for, and found it to be so miserable to work with that I gave up, and printed all my gardening tools in ABS.

So far so good. Just getting going with it. I have one machine with a 1.0mm nozzle that I am using for the big modular parts so it's spitting out some plastic and is a bit messy, but working great for it's use. The 0.4mm nozzle is printing stackable tomato cages nicely so far.
