Long Trip With A Few Pics

I wanted to update you all as I drove across the country, but signal was bad in most of the places I stopped so it was not possible. Plus, I was focused on the driving aspect of the trip for the most part.
Chip had his little spot in the back that he was able to move around some, but not much unfortunately, but he was a little trooper. He likes being in the front seat with me, but in this van, it wasn't happening due to the center console.
Anyway, I was able to grab a few shots as I was going through the Rocky Mountains in Utah when the rain finally stopped. After that I stopped at a rest area in Wyoming and saw some kind of deer like animals running around the plains.
On the last day of the trip I got to watch the sun come up as I drove into the eastern horizon. It was really quite beautiful, that is until the sun was up and all in my face, lol.
The last images were in Missouri when I stopped to fill up gas and saw a B2 Stealth Bomber flying over. I am actually an old pilot, so I love things like this. That plane was so incredibly quiet, it was almost eerie.
The trip was a total of 2700 miles from Corvallis, Oregon, which is where I started the clock when I left from seeing my daughter at college before I left, to outside Birmingham, Alabama. It was slated on the map to take 36 hours of total drive time. I did the entire trip, with stops and very little sleep, in a total of 56 hours!
Anyway, I am glad to be here on the family farm. Been working on setting up and unpacking my stuff as well as getting adjusted to being back in my hometown and around my extended family, lol.
Back in full time action on Monday!
Until then, have a great weekend and remember to be cool, be real, and always abide my dudes!

Would love to do a roadtrip across the US, it would be cool!
I have done it a couple of times at this point. My favorite route is the Southwest route, I-40. So much cool stuff you can get to from there. The stretch I took this run, not so many cool things, lol.
I am jealous. There are so many places in the USA to see. Just the drive alone is exciting, but there are several I would like to visit specifically such as
Yosemite, The Redwoods & Sequoias, Monument Valley, Devil's Tower.
Also, seeing a B2-Spirit is kind of rare I would think. They only built like 20 or so of them.
I have done a couple of sight seeing trips before, this one was a get the heck across and get to my new home kind of drive, lol. But yeah, the B-2 was awesome!
That's an epic bit of mileage - Chip looks quite entertained sat looking out of the window -although I am sure there were times the temptation to get out an run free was strong! Epic views, especially that what looks like limestone mountain at the side of the road - very cool. Also good to hear you arrived safe.
Thanks man. Chip was really not thrilled after a while. Everytime we would stop and walk and get back to the van, he would look at me like "Seriously dude?" LOL and make me pick him up, lol.
But when we got here, he knew even in the middle of the night where he was and I could see the chat bubble going, "holy shit dad! This is where we were going? AWESOME!!!" LOL. He lit up and started running around looking for my parents, who were not home at the time, lol.
I really wonder how many hours the road trip lasted
I'm glad you toured around your country
Something like this is needed sometimes
56 hours from start to finish. Pretty insane, lol. I have been resting allot the last couple of days, lol.
