Had a Little Too Much Fun at the Local Playground and Broke My Drone
It was a really nice morning so after my cup of coffee, I decided to go out to the local park and fly my tiny whoop around the playground. School just went back in session, so I am pretty sure nobody would be playing. That and I wanted to take the opportunity to fly these batteries I charged yesterday before the temperature went back to Satan butt crack levels a bit later today. Nobody wants to be outside in that if they don't have to be.
I had fixed a couple of issues early on in my session this morning, one with video and the other were just mad props. So I changed out the props and got the analog video working correctly between my goggles and the drone, and ripped 11 batteries and really broke it good on the last flight, haha.
I was zipping around the playground and ended up hitting a pole head on, bounced off some other playground equipment like a pin ball and ended up upside down. It wouldn't flip back over when I tried to turtle mode it, so I got up and when I picked it up I saw what the problem was.
Basically knocked the canopy off and broke 2 of the internal screw posts on the frame. So needless to say, I was done for the morning, haha. Luckily it was my last battery.
So once I got home, the drone immediately hit the work bench for triage. That was when I found the issue with the broken screw posts. This is a problem because now I can't secure the canopy to the frame... That is until the E6000 comes out to play! But, it will be a permanent fix. Meaning I will not be able to take the canopy off anymore.
This repair also gave me the opportunity to address an issue I was having with the camera. After my last flight with this drone at a local bando mall, I crashed once and apparently knocked the camera sideways a bit. So when I was flying it felt like the drone was drifting to the side. This is partially what caused me to crash like I did.
I put a good amount of glue on the remaining screws and the post area, basically globbed it on so I knew it would be enough to hold and possibly take some abuse. Once I got the glue on, I zip tied it down from both sides so that the canopy could firmly sit in place while the E6000 settled.
So now the glue has settled enough to take the cable ties off and it seems to be fixed and ready
to go! I am going to let it set for a few hours before I really mess with it anymore. So I am going to charge a few batteries and give it a go this evening once it cools down a bit, if it does. If not, then the test will happen tomorrow!
There will also be a video coming of my various flights, just need to edit it up. So be on the lookout for some more freestyle FPV fun from your favorite dude!
Until next time...
Be cool, be real, and always abide with the skies!

Oh I sing that all the time when I pinball off of them, lol.
Lol, George! Haven't thought of that for a while, thanks for the memory smile.
