Getting Back To My Daily Grind
It's been a while since I have posted anything on Hive, or really anywhere for that matter. I have been extremely busy in the offline world with different things over the last couple of weeks, namely spending time with my family that all came in from their various parts of the country for my Dad's celebration of life thing we did out at our local state park.
But now, they have all gone home, and it's time to get back to my daily grind! I have a ton of flight footage to go through and edit, as well as some cool ideas for homesteading posts, and then just taking care of myself on my new health focused journey, and taking care of things around the property. Maybe I might start doing a post like this on Mondays to help keep me accountable, but the thing is, I have to go back and read it, lol. So I need you, Hive fam, to help keep me on track, lol.
Building My Motivation with a Bit of AI Help
This is the hardest part of it all with someone that has my level of ADHD. I have a big problem with staying on a routine, much less a simple task. So I am having to work on some motivation to get myself going this morning. I did get started with a good conversation with Grok about some personal health goals and ways to get there without relying on the scam medical system or a bunch of trash supplements. I feel like these are the kind of things AI should be used for, not stupid social media images and posts. But I digress...
What does motivate me is to keep my fat arse healthy and out of the medical system. So I will find anyway possible to do that. Grok is helping me keep to a diet and exercise plan that is build specifically for me. Best of all, I don't have to pay some quack trainer or a subscription on some app. Grok gives me all this for free.
Getting Back to the Workout Grind
This is a hard one for me as well, because I ate like complete crap the last couple of weeks and I feel a bit on the weak side this morning. That and it's kind of gloomy and stormy outside, so all I really want to do is go back to bed, lol. But I am not going to do that. After I drop this post, I am going to go hit the row machine for a while and watch some 'Wicked Tuna'.
Being that it's stormy outside and I won't be doing any farm chores, I might throw in some push up or some resistance band workouts to the mix. I can be a lazy S.O.B, so it can be a challenge for me to keep myself motivated to put myself into pain by choice, lol. But I know my body needs it.
Getting Back To Hive Work
I had started way too many projects all at once trying to do some things to revive the Hivelist project as well as provide some awesome utility for Hivians who use Wordpress. I did get the first plugin out, but no interest in using it, so that really slowed my motivation to continue building. That is until the folks at @keychain added the @hivelist and @blocktunes projects to their ecosystem page on the wallet! That was a big boost in motivation. Now that everyone has gone back home, my attention can shift back to building some tools.
I think the one app that I am ready to finish and release is the Hive Market Maker trading bot I built for the Hive internal exchange. I finally have the UI the way I want, for the most part without breaking what I have, haha. I have been testing it live for a while now and think it's doing a good enough job to release in the wild! What I need to do is test it on a Windows and Linux machine. I have a Windows machine available, so I will get at least the Windows and Mac versions up on the Hivelist Store for sale this week!
Back to Regular Posting
One thing I have gotten really bad with lately is the lack of consistent long-form posting. With this, I need to really get caught up on some video editing from some drone flights, as well as get some other homestead project photo blogs that I need to finish up. I do notice a major difference in my engagement the more I post, so I need to just get back to it.
With that being said, I am not going to be focused as much on the microblogging part of things. It holds it's place, and Inleo has a great feature, but I get more engagement and rewards on the long form posts, so my attention needs to stick there for a bit. With that said, I am also not renewing the Hivelist premium subscription on Inleo because of the lack of interest and engagement with they daily classifieds threadcast. I tried, but it was a waste of time and funds really.
Sometimes a Break is What's Needed
It's really hard to stay consistent on social media, especially with long-form posting, but it's a great way to earn some extra funds, and I do enjoy it. When it starts becoming a full time job though, it's not fun anymore. Then there are times you hit the wall, get extremely frustrated, especially with Hive and the fact that you feel like you are posting into a void most of the time with the lack of real engagement, and that's when you need to take a break. That's where I was. I needed a break pretty bad from most social media. That break has put me where I am in a place that I can try to stop focusing on the negatives, and get back to the positives of the platform and why I have stuck around since 2019.
So anywho, I am back on that grind, so you should be seeing more fun FPV drone and homesteading projects from me. I may throw in some market posts occasionally, but I have lost the motivation to give that information away for free to people that aren't going to properly use it, so I'll save that information for people that pay me by the hour for consolations and that actually want to learn how to make money and basically retire like me before their 43rd birthday. Yep, that information and those tools are no longer given away for free. Sorry guys.
Until next time...
Be cool, be real, and always abide with you my dudes!

"Welcome back! It’s great to see you posting again—sounds like you've had a meaningful time offline. Did the break help you return with a fresh perspective?"
A well needed break is a must every now and again for your sanity. Good for you on retiring early, something to be very proud of!
We'll call it retired for now, lol. Who knows what the future holds, haha.
