Ah, it feels good to be able to get back to some good old hardware tinkering! I was able to clean up another corner of the studio workshop and set myself up a little work bench to mess around with my hardware so I can get some of these old mining machines back up and running!

In this PC I took out an old AMD RX460 2GB graphics and put in one of the RX480 8GB cards I saved from my old GPU mining rigs. It was good to break open the old beast and tinker around on the insides. Nothing like building something and watching it run and make you money!

This particular machine will have multiple purposes. It has a 2 TB harddrive so I am going to be running mainly a full Monero node and doing some mining as well on XMR on the CPU. I may also try and throw the GPU on Nicehash or something and let it mine the most profitable coin that it can mine. But at the same time, I may just stick it all on Monero and be done with it, lol.

I will also be setting up my mini USB ASIC Scrypt miner up and merge mining some DOGE/LTC on it and getting paid out in DOGE. This is just the beginning! I plan on rolling allot of my earnings into more equipment and building up the farm!

You didn't think I was just going to be farming food were you? Haha!

Your studio workshop has so many instruments. It looks good and I'm sure that those equipments will be quite expensive

Actually none of this was really that expensive, I by the cheap stuff and make it work, lol. IPad is the most expensive part of the setup, lol. It’s all been pieced together over the years. My original studio on the other hand… That was expensive but I ended up selling everything off at one point years ago.

Don't put that GPU in xmr, find a older algorithm privacy coin and use that, nicehash I find had to high of a payment.

Do you pay hydro at your farm?

They are all unprofitable on that GPU at this point. The main reason for the GPU is to use it for a drone FPV flight simulator, 😂

I’ll just put it to work while it’s not in use.

Ah that sucks, I haven't mined in quite some time. Have you checked out any folding coins to use the GPU? I know that was OK for a while

I looked at whattomine and they are pretty much all unprofitable at this point, so I might as well stick to Monero. I don't want any of those crap coins anyway and don't want to deal with the little exchanges like Tradeogre or anything to try and sell them. Nicehash at least pays out in Bitcoin.

Since Ethereum went piece of shit, I mean proof of stake, then that pretty much killed the GPU mining industry. CPUs and ASICs are pretty much the game now.
