Conclave Arcana Is Here: Shapeshifting Into The New Modern Era

It's been three weeks since I last posted an article regarding my Splinterlands progress, specifically in the Land Department.
I have been preoccupied with real-life stuff: temporary bump in workload, family and friends visiting, holidays and other events, etc.
I'm glad I finally have time to provide you all with personal updates. This time around, we will not only discuss Land, but also gameplay adjustments with Splinterlands' newest set: Conclave Arcana.
Let's get into it.

Preface
My previous post was about building Aura Labs. I had initially planned on building just one but ended up with 4 total. You can find that article HERE.

My setup allowed me to harvest 314 Aura per hour. Not too shabby.
With all the hype around Midnight Potions at the time, I was excited to craft these concoctions and supply friends and guildmates with these. That's exactly what I did when the Conclave Arcana General Sale came about and players were able to start opening packs.
The first few potions I crafted are freebies for my friend @elrmapa for building his own Aura Labs in our Community Tract in Region 46, Thalos.

In my personal tract in Region 50, Ia'telda, the potions I crafted were sold cheaper than the market price (at the time) to other friends.
I made almost 140,000 DEC just for selling these potions! I know I could have made more selling on the market but hey, I'm happy to help out people who have been good to me!
Unfortunately, as a lot of players had expected, the hype kind of slowed down a bit after that initial rush of opening packs during the first few days of the general sale.
The price of Midnight Potions have since plummeted.

I still am harvesting Auras but have not crafted any potions recently.
Would there be something else in the near future that could increase the demand for these items? Time will tell.

Routine Harvest: Resource Gathering
I regularly swap my harvested land resources every other day or so. For the past three weeks, I have accumulated the following totals:
- 5/10/2025 - 27,315 DEC
- 5/17/2025 - 28,423 DEC
- 5/24/2025 - 29,597 DEC
This gives me a total of 85,335 DEC in three weeks! And this in on top of the 140,000 DEC received from selling Midnight Potions!
I also did weekly deposits into the Grain LP as shown below.

Another thing I have started doing on a weekly basis is the conversion of our Community Keep's taxes to DEC and then to Guild Power to further boost the development of our Guild Buildings.

New Assets: More Acquisition
Not only have I been selling resources for the past three weeks, I have also been buying more assets off the market.

In my last post, I had 318 total land plots. I have acquired more since, and I am now up to 325 plots!

I have a personal goal of running 100 active plots. It's as if I am running a full tract even though my active plots are across different regions.
I am getting closer and closer to my goal.
Can't stop. Won't stop.
At least until the floor price of land plots becomes a little too expensive for my liking.

New Modern: The Pivot To The Pivot
The timing of the presale was a little but unfortunate for me since it coincided with a lot of real-life events I had to attend to.
Maybe I could have prepared for it sooner but it is what it is. I am not upset. Life happens.
I also know I wouldn't want to be left behind.

Along with the release of the new set, adjustments to Brawls also took effect.
Modern Frays are now harder to fill due to Chaos Legion rotating out of the format.

Since I already had a fairly decent Rebellion collection (some cards at max level including all the legendary Archons), I was asked if I was willing to move to an Expert Level (Diamond), Modern Fray.
This is different from my usual fray which was Advanced Level (Gold), Wild.
Considering I thought about playing a lot of Modern Ranked (again), the answer seemed obvious. Yes, I would cover this new Fray assigned to me. It'll be the same gameplay when I play Ranked mode anyway.

I quickly turned to my close friends and fellow Filipinos. These guys (and gal) are beasts in the game. Thank you @mangomayhem, @elrmapa, and @demon19.
After a few recommendations from them and conversations with myself, I finally acquired my first few Conclave Arcana cards! Leftover proceeds from swapping land resources (after my weekly routine of DEC contributions to the Guild and to the Pool) helped in purchasing these cards.
Keep in mind I am not a pro player by any means. I just felt like that these cards would complement my playing style and hopefully win me plenty of battles!

I also would like to thank another guildmate, @woody-575, for delegating more Conclave Arcana cards for me to try out. This guy put in a lot of money during the presale and he got rewarded handsomely! I hope he shares his story to the world soon!
I understand the delegations are temporary, but at least playing with these cards would let me know which other cards I need to get for myself in order to remain competitive.

With the other Modern cards I am renting, I believe I am now well-equipped to at least put up a fight in this New Modern era.
I already performed well during the most recent brawl (only 1 loss). I also started participating in tournaments again.
I also reached Champ 3 a few days ago. Let's see if I can rise up the ranks and compete with the best.

Summary And Final Thoughts
I did say that I will Zig while others Zag. Nothing has changed. Just a little Shapeshifting or adjustment so I can enjoy the game in other ways and also support our Guild and our Community.
I have not lost sight nor focus on expanding my Land assets. You'd still see me acquire more land plots here and there for the right price.

I also haven't bought any packs but I still am happy to support others who enjoy the excitement of opening them. I still produce Aura daily. I still have a few hundred bottles of Midnight Potions. I can craft more as needed.

One thing is for sure, though!
Conclave Arcana has definitely revitalized my excitement in playing the game! I'm also noticing a lot of newcomers and even returnees becoming interested in the game again!
Keep 'em comin'!

Wow, congratz on your Aura Lab journey and Building 4 Labs. Producing 314 Aura per hour is definitely not shabby my man, you are doing amazing. For Lands, I just have one producing Grain and planning to increase my collection with a few more but slowly.
Heya! Thanks! I have been following your land posts. Let me know when you’re ready to expand! I have 4 plots in the same region your plot is in.
Wow glad to know you read my posts ❤️ I was recently looking for more plots for sale in my region so I can save the 10% fee on moving grain, but sadly there wasn’t any available.

I would like to know more about this part of the game. Like you said sometimes we got caught up with personal stuff, and I just thought this could be a boost on earnings at the same time putting asset back to spl to help the game economy. Its an idle game, i need to know where to start, what to do next...haha hope to find a tutorial in youtube
Heya! I don't publish anything on YouTube but there are other Splinterlands players who have videos explaining their approach to their land plots.
For me, I have these simple intro posts about land:
