Guide To Texting
JKB | Hello
Texting
Texting is the most basic way of communication. It doesn't come with emotions or expressions, making a message or communication more interactive and meaningful. However, there was also a time when the letters or posts were popular, and at that, we can see the uses of adjective and keyword format that made the letter stand out from the basics. I am also using a method of texts only to propagate my message to you and it will mostly depend on me to convey the proper meaning and emotions. I read letters that my mom sent to my dad and how interactive and emotional it was back then.
But why it is fading?
Texting isn't fading but narration is. Without the use of keywords and a standard structure conveying a message is as hard as a mute is trying to convey a message in sign language. The art of letter writing and texting is fading for sure. Also, the availability of other mediums like audio, and video makes texting the last choice of medium to communicate. If both parties know the context, texting becomes interactive and interesting at the same time, whereas the absence of background makes the same conversation look very formal and less emotive. It is the same as an introverted person trying to use words to look social.
Meme Culture
Another thing that makes texting beautiful these days is the use of viral pictures or clips that portray feelings and emotions. That makes the conversation stand out as well. For example, yesterday my colleagues asked to come early and I replied via a clip of a famous cartoon showing how serious and excited I am to come early. However, meme culture comes with its ambiguity as well, if the receivers don't know the proper meaning of the picture he/she might get confused as to what the speaker wanted to convey. Hence, though meme culture is picking up faster it is a phenomenon of the origin of the internet. The more you are aware of viral content the more properly you can understand the meme culture and narration.
How it is affecting relationships?
If you are in a relationship or a social web then texting can't replace the real presence of the speaker and receiver. What I can convey in my presence seems difficult to me many times as the choice of words is limited plus texting art is almost lost too. Social media experts thought that texting is still relevant and they also tried their best by providing features like stickers, gifs, and soundboards that make a conversation interesting. Yet, only sticking to texting is not going to be a complete solution. Real-world meetings are necessary to know that both the speaker and receiver are on the same level to establish a meaningful conversation.
Though it may sound overwhelming that text is as relevant as it was in the past because it lets the person think about what words they need to pick and how to convey it without causing a misunderstanding. Texting has changed from earlier times and the jargon that is inculcated by GenZ audience is also helping in its transformation. The future of texting is as bright as any other medium of communication.

The truth is that nothing can replace face-to-face conversation but then texting saved some people and made them overcome their fear of talking to some people they can't face in reality

Now the way of talking has changed, we talk to each other through message, if we talk with respect in it, both people will be happy and when we meet after a long time, both of us will respect each other.
