Abermals gab es im Spiel zuvor eine Verletzung eines Verteidigers, nach dem Ausfall von Kovacevic wird es da jetzt schon extrem dünn, das ist eigentlich nicht mehr zu kompensieren.
Im Prinzip war es auch wieder so dass Carolina die bessere Mannschaft war und nach 21 Minuten mit 3:0 in Führung lag.
Kurz keimte nach dem Anschlusstreffer durch Hischier nochmal Hoffnung auf, auch deswegen weil sich der bisher so starke Anderson im Hurricanes Tor verletzte und vom Eis musste, da wirkte Carolina kurz geschockt.
Ersatzmann Kochetkov bekam auch gleich ein haltbares Tor, war aber in der Folge dann sehr sicher, sodass Carolina das Spiel relativ klar mit 5:2 gewinnen konnte.

Carolina ist die bessere Mannschaft, den Devils fehlt schon die halbe Verteidigung und der beste Spieler sowieso schon länger.
