Drift.

The Hive Name.png
The runabout was used as a tug. Taking the two level of the ship away from the planets orbit. It was then used to set course and drift toward the secondary planet.

Once the course was set, the runabout returned to the ship. The anxiety the natives held was melting away as they seen they were moving toward their home planet. Communications were improving and a couple crew had an almost fluent vocabulary. Visually, the ship looked stationary waiting for the planet to arrive.

Several months would pass before the planet and the ship would meet. Senior members of the crew had constant discussion about arriving at the planet. Protocols which had already been broken. The morals of every choice they might have to make. Returning the natives to their planet, knowing the future influence their presence has made here. Should we help them, leave and let them work things out for themselves. Can we introduce them to something new only to abandon them now there is an inconvenience.

On arrival at the planet, or the planet at their location. Many discussions had taken place. The discussions even included some of the natives as the planet drew closer. Some natives wanted to stay on the ship. Some crew wanted to stay on the new planet. These choices were mostly due to relationships that formed between crew and natives.

In the end it was decided each individual, crew or native, could make their own choice. To remain on ship or return to their planet. There was one condition though. Anyone returning to the planet would have to go to a specific location. An uninhabited part of the planet, A series of islands away from the larger continents. The idea to let the rest of the people on the planet develop naturally.

Those who returned to the planet would be given limited resources. No technical equipment such as electronics or weapons would be sent to the planet. Medical supplies in small quota's such as bandages and gauze, however were permitted but not equipment. The crew would agree to not educating on written language. This should be something developed naturally by future generations.

The ship would set out to find a neighbouring system. They would need to build one more level to the ship to do so. To do this they moved the ship back to the original planet they had known and gathered resources from there.

These few islands over time would exceed the abilities of the other continents, simply because of the knowledge held. Over time the knowledge they held would filter out to other communities. With generations passing some would want to leave the islands. They could not restrict their movements. This was after all their planet now too.

Over time Legends grew from stories about their arrival. Some about the actions some natives took. Mostly about crew members and the feats they could perform. Through generations the stories became that stories and sometimes altered to suit the moment. Eventually these stories would come to be written down. One such story was the story of Lou. How Lou Siffer got cast down from the heavens to wander the planet for eternity.

The beginning?
