Pokemon Blue Venonat Starter - Part Thirty Six

A glitch in the system around Seafoam Islands?

This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types

More battles were to be had in the ocean and more leveling up was required. This beauty that was faced had some easy to win Pokemon that would be beaten like a Vulpix and Voltorb, even the Kangaskhan would be but it was always cool to see one out and get Muk to level fourty two!

Next couple of fights were also, not very exciting but one of the trainers, went from a Bulbasaur to a Venusaur being brought out and Venusaur was a bit tougher to take out with bite.. leech seed from Bulbasaur would sap Wartortle down a little and a few times.

After it was taken out and then the following Lickitung, Rapidash had been dragged out a couple of times and got to level thirty one and with the help of also switching to Muk for against the tougher Lapras, there was plenty of gained experience in this set of fights, for Wartortle to reach level thirty six and.. for it to evolve into Blastoise and get even stronger!

Eventually these four trainers in a group together would be defeated, before skipping passed other trainers and reaching Seafoam Islands, where a level thirty eight Rhydon was met inside, a tough one to face off against but the idea was to catch this strong Pokemon.

Upon attempting to catch it and failing a couple of times with the great ball, Venonat was defeated so to have something last longer, Muk came out and the catching attempts were continued.. of course this was failing until after Dragonair came out after Muk was defeated too, then a couple more great ball attempts and finally, the Rhydon was caught!

A quick look around nearby to find a nugget that will be sold off with the others currently on hand, then heading back to Fuschia Poke centre so Rhydon can be withdrawn and used, while Rapidash goes in so Farfetch'd can fly Goliath back to Viridian city..

He had heard about some weird glitch in the Poke world where in one spot near Seafoam Islands, a glitched Pokemon can be found which helps duplicate an item being held to get a lot of them, maybe something with the coding. So he went and spoke to an old man that was wise and could also, easily catch a Pokemon without battling them and who told him that the rumours were true.

It was back to Fuschia city where horn drill was taught to Rhydon as a one hit move.. if it actually hit of course, then the Poke mart to sell the three nuggets and proceed to buy ultra balls, full heals and super repels.

When Goliath was back at the Seafoam Islands to look for the glitched Pokemon he ran into a very high level Golduck, losing Venonat and Muk in the process but managing to catch it for his own use. For now, time to keep looking around this spot!

Needless to say, the next battle would be up against the Glitch Pokemon Missingno at such a high level.. but it doesn't matter if you win or run or catch it, in this case it was running away to avoid an unnecessary battle.

After going to check his backpack Goliath found, that it was full of rare candies which means he will be able to help his Pokemon level up a lot quicker, reducing stresses from constant battles and allowing quicker progress toward the Elite Four.

Emulator used: RetroArch with a Gameboy Colour core
ROMS: Pokemon Blue after being put through the randomiser
Saving: (Used for quick loading and for getting back to before I had all Pokemon faint, if I lose and so it is quicker.)
