Pokemon Blue Venonat Starter - Part Thirty One

Making it over to Fuschia City

This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types

It was back on track time with a set of fully healed Pokemon and now a Rhydon to be stomped on by.. which Dratini was able to secure the victory by way of bubblebeam, almost dying but also reaching level twenty nine!

This trainer had a Marowak up next but same thing of using bubblebeam for another win, before facing the Omastar that finished Dratini off with ease, showing strength and that moves don't do much to it.

It was Muk to the rescue with thunderbolt doing most of the damage, before taking some and using body slam to finish it off and for the final Pokemon, well an Aerodactyl came out to top off an already strong team to be up against, with sludge doing some good damage and then thunderbolt finishing it off to secure level thirty nine for Muk.

Goliath could tell that he was getting even closer to the end of the cycling path, Vulpix faced off against a high level Mr Mime and won by using dig, multiple times and Mr Mime using some more defensive skills.

Finally after healing up once more, cycling back down and fighting some other trainers, it was the end of the path and he was about to enter Fuschia City for the first time.

Just on the other side of the building heading into Fuschia City was a grassy area and some trainers. One exciting fight was the Primeape against Goliath's Dratini where it got off good hits and lowering stats, but securing the victory allowed Dratini to reach level thirty and this was and exciting level up..

Wrap was forgotten to make room for slam to be learned, but the exciting part was Dratini finally getting to evolve and making Goliath super happy!

It turned into Dragonair and gained a boost to its stats along with overall being a stronger Pokemon to use.

The third trainer in this part just outside of, the guard post building into Fuschia, has a Kangaskhan at level thirty four.. Venonat had no chance against its comet punch before the Vulpix came out, did a bit of damage with dig and proceeded to also be taken out.

Goliath had to rely on Muk for this battle to be won. He knew that minimise would be the first step in order to better dodge these blows, and luckily so because the rage had built up more strength, before missing and resetting it. So Muk continued using sludge in order to take out this really strong Kangaskhan and then it was off to heal up, before starting on the Fushia city gym trainers.

While there was no need for fly or cut from the Farfetch'd, Goliath decided to replace it with a low level Graveler in his party which is the one caught long ago now and he wanted to get its level up much higher.. of course he would need to bring it out then switch to something stronger which is what happened in the first trainer battle, inside the Fuschia city gym!

Muk is the Pokemon to be swapped to considering this trainer's solo Pokemon is, a level thirty eight Electabuzz and it was going to be strong.

Minimise to start with for the extra protection and it ended up working well. Muk managed to not lose any health, while easily taking Electabuzz out of the picture and securing Graveler level eleven for this first shot.

Goliath was having doubts about his success rate in this gym and how the fight will go, with the gym leader.

But he pushed on to one more trainer at this time which started off horribly.. Graveler did a lot of damage which a lot was gained back through mega drain, by Venonat and some misses from Graveler was helping until.. it used self destruct and if was over for both!

Muk took out the Seaking and Tentacool with old faithful thunderbolt of course before the revitalised Venonat faced off with Porygon, which had psybeam to easily take it out.

Oh well, Muk and sludge to the rescue to end another tough fight but have Goliath re-think if he should try another battle, or just move east to get into other trainer battles like to be easier, to level his Pokemon more first.

At least Graveler got to level fifteen now which is seven levels in two fights, Muk hit level fourty and that is a big milestone, having a first Pokemon reach such a high level like this but with so much more potential!

Interesting challenge. I don't think I've ever played much using the blue version.
