Heading to Cinnabar Island before going to Saffron City

This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types

The gold teeth Goliath had found in the Safari Zone, ended up belonging to the Safari Zone's Warden which is where he ended up heading first, to his home to give the gold teeth back so the Warden could speak and was happy.

As a reward for finding and bringing these back to him, Goliath was given the hidden machine for teaching strength which was taught to Wartortle to go along with the surf that had been taught to it.

Using this to move the boulder in the Warden's home saw a new rare candy claimed. For now though it was time to head south toward the ocean where the surf would be used to travel to Cinnabar Island.

Just before the ocean and on the beach is two trainer waiting to battle. One was a close fight between Venonat and the Goldeen, as peck would do a lot of damage to Venonat just like mega drain would to Goldeen while healing Venonat.

Wartortle was brought out for the final blow so then it would fight the next Pokemon the Pidgeotto, using surf to do some good damage and multiple times as well. This meant leveling to thirty two and getting closer to evolving!

The other trainer here had a Wigglytuff that got poisoned right away, by the Toxic taught to Venonat.

A mega drain was used on it before Dragonair got pulled out to continue the fight. Ice beam from the get go brought it down so low, until sleep got in the way and after one doubleslap though.. the poison finished off Wigglytuff to give Venonat and Dragonair some more experience.

Before heading back to the Poke centre to heal up, one more quick fight to make use of still having a decently healthy party, with Venonat weakening the Slowpoke before the use of confusion had finished it off.

Wartortle got a bite off to bring Slowpoke down before easily taking out the Nidorina with the use of surf, two times!

Back out to the ocean with a party full of healthy Pokemon, surfing out further on Wartortle to meet multiple other trainers.

The wild Pokemon here were weak and nothing special with first being a Farfetch'd and the a Magnemite, which Goliath could have done with getting.

But the next trainer he came against was an easier fight for Venonat. Sandshrew was easily taken down with mega drain and double edge while keeping health up higher, then the Staryu was the same except it had recover, taking longer to bring it down which got Venonat to level thirty and learning stun spore.

Some of these trainers seem to really like the Nidorina and Pidgeotto since they have been appearing more often, lately. So it wasn't too hard for the fights and ice beam is great for the Pidgeotto. A Hitmonlee on the other hand, could have done more damage if Dragonair wasn't so strong.

One trainer had two notable mentions that had one being quite strong. One was a Hitmonchan but surf was able to bring it down with a critical hit and Wartortle reached level thirty three, but the Tauros brought down Vulpix who had just taking out a Bulbasaur. Oh and also, Tauros managed to take out Dragonair as well before Wartortle got the final hit on it!

Goliath got to win against one more trainer which wasn't that hard to do since their two Pokemon were not as strong, before heading back and healing again at the Poke centre, so he would be able to head back and continue the rest of the way to Cinnabar Island.

Emulator used: RetroArch with a Gameboy Colour core
ROMS: Pokemon Blue after being put through the randomiser
Saving: (Used for quick loading and for getting back to before I had all Pokemon faint, if I lose and so it is quicker.)
