Let's play Hell Pie - Leaving the dump of a sewer to breathe well above ground
From fresh smelling hell cakes to breathing the fresh sea air again
As the boss has now been defeated as seen in the previous post Hell Pie - Exploring the first area above ground for ingredients it was time to escape from the sewer but Nate wasn't finished with this place yet.
There were still a few obstacles to pass and some enemies to defeat, along with collecting some additional items like this brown unicorn puppy thing, needed for its horn for upgrading to the next horn.
Enemies are really angry now and seem to hate Nate for killing their leader and it sure does show on their poopy faces!
A quick dodge while swinging nugget and then taking out the flying enemies, it was another short and sweet fight. Up ahead was some traps trying to hurt you as you go passed them, but this first lot were a bit slower and nothing hard to get passed.
On the other side of the spikes were the muncher people that seem to eat the crap in the sewers.. not very nice of healthy you would think but I guess for them, it is what they enjoy and is likely why the poo people are fighting back.
When trying to keep moving forward after passing some extra spike traps but faster ones, some deaths are expected when not properly swinging to safety and this is exactly what happened a couple of times in one spot.
On the lighter side of things, some extra fighting was done before seeing a light in the distance. This turned out to be the exit and finally, Nate would no longer have burning nostrils smelling of crap!
The purple crystal stockpile kept growing and finding the big crystal nodes, helped to get a big chunk of them.. the multiple deaths previously experienced though, meant losing a small bit of them as a penalty for dying, but getting them back again wasn't that hard!
When heading back across to the main island part and near where that little town sort of area was, to the side was the next location to be explored and there is no idea as to what can be expected, so keeping Nate on guard and the lookout was key to keeping alive and finding more goodies.
One of those goodies was the little unicorn animal thing that need to keep getting collected. Need to collect enough to unlock the next horn.
Bit of comedy when you are being told to not go somewhere. The coral is squishy and can break but what the hell, right?
Can't tell a demon what to do, I will go on the damn coral to get to the other side, if I damn well want to and shooting at me with your cannons, well I don't give a crap because I will keep going and avoid the cannon fire!
Damn piranha like fish trying to take some mighty chomps out of Nate and due to a silly mistake when moving among the coral and platform plants, they got to chomp at least once and then due care was taken. The cannons shot out exploding spiked metal balls that would create only small explosions, but it would deter you or make it harder to not fall in the water if not careful when jumping around.
When you make it to the other side of the water you are greeted with a couple of building which have a higher tide of water around them.
Some fish people were living in this area and you will get to find the next horn upgrade part to make a sacrifice to which is nice to have reached it and the teleporter next to it. But it requires 7 horns for this upgrade and having only 5 meant I would be heading out to find two more creatures so I would have enough, for the sacrifice I have to provide.
This wasn't a way to ensure Nate was happy but instead, made him want to destroy some shit and not the stuff back in the sewers either.. no it was a rock wall needing an explosion to break, which this mountain had multiple around in different spots. This one just had a crystal node to be broken but more of those are always nice!
There is still a chunk more of this area to explore and was bigger than expected, but keen to move on and see what is next and where the rest of the ingredients are, including what happens after the pie is made for the devil.
