Let's Play Hell Pie - What else does this area hold around the island?
Time to explore the island further
Getting out of the sewer in the last post Hell Pie - Leaving the dump of a sewer to breathe well above ground and finding the next horn upgrade location, it was nice to be progressing just needing to get more horns for the upgrade.
Now it was time to explore around the island some more and make things explode, like the wizard walking around the beach which turned into some other creature before dying.
There are multiple little caves around this big mountain that required breaking the rocks covering the entrance, which is done with the bombs from the plants.
Mostly has things to collect inside them. One had a purple gem node inside so that was collected and then another had the can of fudge inside.
At least inside one of the caves found near some little huts, one of the horned creatures could be collected and likely will now be enough for the horn upgrade, but best to still look for one or two more while exploring before going back.
After making my way up to the top where there is more to see, a teleporter was found along with a cave more open and holding a wall inscribed with some form of rune, and some creatures there waiting for something.
It is meant to shine brighter as one of the creatures mentioned... but of course this isn't happening and likely, will need something to be done or learned to enable getting this lit up. Judging by the picture, a horned demon needs to do something so maybe the other horn unlock yet to be gotten, is what will help?
I thought this was the top of this mountain but as you can see, I had Nate going even higher by following the ramp up while evading some traps, spinning around with spikes.
This leads to another teleporter next to a hold in the ground. This hole drops down to that open cave with the inscribed picture and might mean something or might be just an easier way to get there after unlocking the next horns and using the teleporter..
For now it was moving to another section which was a bit of travel away and crossing some form of bridge that isn't a bridge, getting passed a few spots and claiming another horned beast before taking this skyship boat to help this guy out.
Joyfruit Fields is the place this guy was talking about that he needed help, with clearing pests out of.
It is a fitting name, full of magical looking rainbow slides and pink clouds that the rest of the area is built on top of. Of course I would end up dying right away, by jumping too early and slightly missing the distance to land on the first island part!
Once you land safely and not fall to your death like dumbass me did, you get a shotgun to help kill off the pests and being a double barrel, well two shots and reloading is fine if you hit both and there is only two.
Then I proceeded to end up falling to my death again, yeah it is easy to make mistakes and accidentally fall off this floating island place.
It was going to take some time to complete this area, I could see it now, but at least I was able to make it to the next floating island bit and the checkpoint there. So I am safe for now..
Nate was out here looking all serious and badass while dragging Nugget behind him on the chain. Well he does look badass with the shotgun in hand and he was about to mess up some lizard pests, It wouldn't be hard to do but you will need to pay attention to ensure, if there are 3 or more then you stay back when reloading after the first two shots are fired!
With another checkpoint reached after moving about some more platforms it was a good time to take a breather on this little island now reached, getting ready to slide down another rainbow slide to head over to the next section of this area.
