Thank God.

I had heard he gave up his US citizenship and moved to another country.
This arrest was shocking to me, considering how long ago he left the country.

The long arm of the US Government is truly a dual edge sword which renders both justice and injustice.

I hope in this case justice is served.

12 years! He renounced his citizenship, paid his "exit tax", and left the country 12 years ago!

I seem to recall those details, so I was confused why after all this time they decided to go after him.
To Be Honest, I was very surprised he had to pay an exit tax, and now I am very surprised they have decided to go after him now.
Normally the statute of limitations on tax investigation by the US givernment is 7 years.
But the US government is like an 800 pound gorilla, it does what ever it wants to do.
