HOT TAKE 🌶️
Many early crypto projects struggled or failed because they actually tried to be useful! 🤯
They focused on tech and utility, but faltered because they built for users who didn't even exist yet. That, and the tech was nowhere near ready for actual use.
Meanwhile, cryptos that focused on building investment cults around slogans and conviction did much better, even though their tech and utility was much worse.
After all, who cares if the tech works if you never use it anyway? The logo and memes are fire! 🔥
Of course, the other side of this is that the "utility projects" failed to actually sell people on their product, or pivot to build their own cult/mantras to survive.
No excuses in a free market!
definitely was the downfall of many projects. kinda seemed like they were waiting for that "the whole world uses crypto" moment that still hasnt happened. And like u said, the tech was very rough around the edges.
Premature, for sure.
Definitely yes, nice elaboration.
