There's two messages in this one:

1. Any crypto that wants to succeed will need some basic privacy functionality, or no one will use it for anything serious long-term

2. Any crypto that only does privacy will soon have to compete with many others that do speed, security, scale, reliability, programmability, and many more things much better

As always: adapt or die.
