Great to see a fellow #privacy advocate on Hive. A lot of what i post (mostly Snaps of late) appears to fall on deaf ears. But still, i'm sowing seeds

i'm trying to get Hive & HBD as privacy derivatives on #ZANO. It should be possible soon when #ConfidentialLayer is main-net.

Hive is never going to be a privacy ecosystem itself. But it can be our public, transparent layer, where everything we do off of it can be private.

That's why the Dash partnership is so valuable.

Yes, i agree. i've not looked into Dash yet, but am quite familiar with quite a few. i'm not a Zano maximalist and think that there several good privacy projects, and we can all be friends and help each other.

Zano seems pretty cool, lots of friends (Roger, Aaron Day) are into it these days.

i'm particularly interested in community governance system design, meta-level ID (with socks & bots prevention), anonymity & reputation system being essential for true DAO, imo.

Does Dash have a community governance system?

Yes of course, Dash is the oldest DAO in fact. Dash practically invented community governance.

But how does the CG work?
A link if you have one, or i can just search.

i'm attempting (& have been for years) to get people together to test & create an Anonymous "meta" ID/Rep/Concentrated Consensus FOSS protocol for use by any large groups who wish.

having watched the video i conclude that only masternode operators are eligible to take part in governance. Am i correct?

now looking on website to check.

Yes basically, however CrowdNode is a service that lets you pool together funds to form masternodes. So you can earn, and vote, with as little as 0.5 Dash.

Ok, well that's good. Yet the vote weight is based entirely upon the number of coins held, so whales, especially if whales collude, could prevent distribution to proposals which are not beneficial to those with the most coins. i don't know if they do, but i do see that on Hive!

Yes, though all they can do is distribute the treasury and make governance proposals.

Also, most don't vote (Binance has 270 nodes and doesn't vote, for example), even in CrowdNode, but all CrowdNode's nodes vote. So small holders actually have an outsized impact in voting over whales compared to how much Dash they own.
