Quick Update: Hive-Nectar 0.0.7b Pre-Release Bug Fix
Hey everyone, just a very quick update today regarding the ongoing testing for the hive-nectar
0.0.7b pre-release.
First off, a big shoutout and thank you to @brianoflondon for spotting a bug during testing!
It turns out there was an issue with memo encoding/encryption. Digging into it, I found there were actually two declarations for an init_aes()
function in the codebase. In an attempt to clean things up and avoid conflicts, I had renamed one of them – unfortunately, it ended up being the correct one needed for memo encryption to work properly!
That specific issue is now fixed in the main branch on the GitHub repository (where the 0.0.7b pre-release code lives). So, if you encountered problems with encrypted memos while testing, pulling the latest code should resolve it.
Keeping this post brief today as I'm heading in for surgery shortly. Hopefully, the recovery goes smoothly! Thanks again to @brianoflondon and anyone else testing the pre-release.
As always,

Do you have any suggestions for creating an Atomic Swap with a coin named Scala. It's not that the coin itself matters; I'm just seeking some direction. I don't have the capability of running a node either. I was hoping for some time observing other nodes, maybe, not sure.
Can't say that I do, not right off hand. I wouldn't know the best way to do it, but from what little I do know, I know BTC uses Hashed Timelock Contracts on the lightning network for that type of thing, but essentially any type of escrow could work, I would think.
It's in my scope not a priority but I can't stop thinking about it.
Congratulations on findng and resolving the bug (with help), that's a win! Yikes, surgery? I hope everything goes well, my friend! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
