La Patasola, the One-Legged Woman
Hey everyone,
Unless everyone is enjoying these, and wants to see more, this will probably be the last one for a while.
My friend @ecoinstant lives in Colombia and shared this next one with me, and it’s a perfect match for our spooky season "Boogeymen of the World" series. This creature is a terrifying legend from the jungles and forests, used to frighten loggers, miners, and unfaithful men.
It's time to meet La Patasola, the One-Legged Woman.

Shapechanger. La Patasola can use its action to polymorph into a Small or Medium humanoid it has seen (often a beautiful woman or a loved one of its victim), or back into its true form. Its statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Its true form is that of a horrifying, one-legged woman with a single eye, tangled hair, and sharp fangs. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Cursed Hop. In its true form, La Patasola moves with a supernaturally fast and erratic hop. Opportunity attacks made against it are made with disadvantage.
Voice of the Lost. La Patasola can perfectly mimic the voice of any humanoid it has heard. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check.
Actions
Multiattack. La Patasola makes one Bite attack and one Claw attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) necrotic damage. La Patasola regains hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Luring Cry (Recharge 5-6). La Patasola emits a haunting cry that sounds like a person in distress. Every humanoid within 300 feet of La Patasola that can hear the cry must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be magically charmed. While charmed, the creature is compelled to move toward La Patasola by the safest available route. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. The effect also ends if the creature takes damage or sees La Patasola in its true form.

Description
La Patasola is a malevolent fey spirit that haunts the deep jungles and mountains. She appears as a guardian of nature, but her methods are brutal and terrifying. She harbors a deep hatred for those who exploit the wilderness (loggers, hunters, and miners) and has a particular taste for unfaithful men.
Deadly Deception. La Patasola's hunt begins with a sound: the voice of a lost child, the cry of a lover, or the wail of a person in pain. She lures her victims deep into the jungle, away from their camps and companions. Once the victim is isolated, she reveals her true form: a monstrous, one-legged hag with ferocious fangs. She tears her prey apart, drinking their blood and feasting on their flesh, her hunger as vast as the wilderness she protects.
I hope this gives you some chilling ideas for your next jungle adventure. There's nothing like the panic of a party hearing one of their own calling for help, only to find this monster instead.
As always,

For our wedding, our placemarker cards were D+D Character sheets of all of our attendees. We laminated them all, and ensured they reflected them as a human being. :)
They were a hit :)
That's epic!
It wasn't much work, as there were only 30 people. :)
My Brother in Law's card. His 0 DEX was due to the fact that he broke bones in both his arms skateboarding in the same accident.
And mine...
These remind me of the time in High-School that we tried to make "real live avatars" of ourselves to play in a game and the fights that it caused. "What do you mean you have an 18 Dex, you are not graceful, what are you in a ballet class that we don't know about?"
And Int was the biggest beef, "I'm so much smarter than you, yours should be like -2"
Everyone was pretty happy with the stats we gave them :)
I think I may need two machetes next to me at all times...lol! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
