Do I Use AI to Write My Posts? The Answer is Yes and No.

Hey everyone,

Time for a bit of honesty. I haven't been asked about it directly, but I wanted to answer the question anyway: do I use AI to help me write my posts?

Yes, I do, but maybe not in the way you think.

My Writing Process

My workflow is actually pretty simple. I write the entire first draft of every post myself. All the ideas, the code, the projects, and the initial words are 100% mine. I get all of my thoughts down, organize them into a rough structure, and basically create the complete post from start to finish.

Only after I've written everything do I turn to an AI. I use it as the tool it was meant to be: an assistant to help me write better. Essentially, it's a very over-engineered spelling and grammar checker. It helps me polish my own writing, catch typos I've missed, and occasionally suggests a better word or a way to make a sentence flow more smoothly.

A Real-World Example

To show you exactly what I mean, let's take a look at the diff between my original draft and the final version of yesterday's post about the Discord server.

As you can see, the changes are all minor. It cleaned up some typos and formatting issues and made a few small word suggestions, like using "complain" instead of "bitch" to be a bit more professional. The core message and the substance of the post remain exactly as I wrote them.

I just wanted to share this with you all as a form of transparency. The voice in these posts is mine; the AI just helps me clean up the mess.

The Prompt

Please follow these rules carefully:

- Correct any spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
- Improve the flow and clarity of the sentences, but **do not change the core meaning or remove any key points**.
- Suggest stronger or more appropriate word choices, but **maintain my informal and conversational tone**.
- **Do not add any new information, content, or ideas.** Your task is only to refine what I have already written.

The goal is to make my original writing sound like a better version of itself, not to replace it.

Here is the draft:

As Always,

I appreciate the transparency, my friend, and I agree, uses like that are where AI does really come in handy. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
