My Opinion
Everybody needs to breathe in clean air. However, this is getting more difficult due to pollution, which is strangling our earth. It’s a sad truth that affects not only our health but also the well-being of our environment.
I strongly believe that clean air is essential for the sake of our own lives and those who live around us. It’s quite shocking when I think about where air pollution comes from, a number of everyday activities contribute to this issue at hand. For instance, cooking on open fires may seem harmless but it releases harmful pollutants into the air. Similarly, vehicle emissions burning agricultural wastes and even powering homes and factories has the same effect on our environment. These issues must be addressed.
The health impact of air pollution is one of the most concerning. Sicknesses ranging from lung diseases to heart conditions may result from breathing in polluted air. The children, old persons and those with pre-existing medical conditions are more prone. I am deeply concerned about this because, as a person who loves my family and community, I need them to be healthy. No individual should be worried about being sick due to the air they breathe.
Moreover, air pollution poses a threat to human life and environment alike. Airborne pollutants have a potential for causing damage on ecosystems, wildlife, and even climate change.
It is my position that we should save our planet so that it can remain home for future generations. That’s why I’m so enthusiastic about finding ways of eradicating environmental pollution occasioned by air contaminants.
We have reasons to be grateful because there are solutions to this problem. Introducing policies geared towards reducing emissions from vehicles and industries, is one such way. Alternatively, investing in solar and wind energy sources can also help reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. Moreover, going green in agriculture and waste management would be a great stride.
To sum up, concerns about air pollution are not only health issues but also environmental ones. We can make a better world for ourselves and our children if we act now. Everywhere should be clean air times.
