Ok, where are the downvotes? A post like this, one that criticizes the obvious will usually draw the attention of the few that have the power. For most folks, following someone here in this space usually comes down to the size of their wallet and not the quality of their content.
Get on the bad side of a big shot and you will be in their scope for the remainder of your time here on #hive. Case in point, @jaynie. A few years ago she stopped blogging on #hive due to the constant downvotes and harrasment she received on everything she wrote. She left the space, not posting for over a year. She decided to come back to the space and immediately the shit started all over again. Needless to say, she has decided that the aggravation was more than she could handle and has since left for good.
When I first started here, almost six years ago, I did it for one reason and one reason only, to leave a trail of what I did here on our farm so that future generations would be able to look back and have a greater understanding of
what I was all about.
At my age, I don't have time for all of the bullshit that not only happens here but also in the bigger picture. All of my energy is spent on things I can control which boils down to my own life and my family.
This post reminds me of a gentleman that I have followed since the very beginning, @dandays. He's a character who also tells it like it is, with no punches pulled, and as truthful as they come, with a very unique way of writing.
Up here at the farm, we have a saying (do you have the guts). It's a saying we use when someone does something that no one else wants to do, like jumping into the pond when the water is still ice-cold in early spring.
Brother, I would say that YOU HAVE THE GUTS.

Regarding the downvotes ... I think is becouse this post is too generic, or let's say"poetic" to hurt the pride or business of anybody in particular. Otherwise, I suspect it would be different.
I just saw the last post of @jaynie. She really put the whole hand into the hornet nest ... or something similar.
She was also targeted for republishing a few old posts in a year if I understood correctly ... yeah, I noticed that a few characters here are doing their hound dog job with a passion that doesn't suit well a sane human being.
It may be generic but spot on.
We all make mistakes which she acknowledged. Where have second chances gone, believe me, without them, I'm not sure where I'd be today.
Hound dog, I can visualize that, their noses to the ground or their noses up a bigger fish's ass.
Good point ... the one about second chances. I also had quite a few important ones in real life and I got them in so much worse times and circumstances here in my area ... and then comes this supposedly amazing, free crypto thing with the ambition to create an online utopia, that offers less of those chances! To say that is absurd is a massive understatement.
