The Rainbow Mountain to kick off Three Tune Tuesday

huffingtonpost.com

When I first saw this my first thought was, wow, what a cool work of art someone created with AI! But there was no AI involved in making these pictures, as a matter of fact it was all mother nature. Until recently these Peruvian mountains were completely covered with snow, and no one had any idea what was hiding underneath.

This was the result of millions of years of minerals interacting with the elements and they happened to be layered in just the right fashion for this to take place. This is a one of a kind location that you can only see in the South American nation of Peru. You have to taken there by a licensed tour guide and access is extremely limited to prevent damage to the natural wonder.

Now you really have seen mother nature's finest work of art! I have not seen this in person because when I lived in South America they still hadn't been freed of their icy tomb. Now I have a very good reason to head to South America again!

Don't those colors look to bright to be natural? That picture is nothing short of amazing in my eyes!

And another view showing some normal mountains around it proving it is indeed the real deal!

So what does Rainbow Mountain have to do with Three Tune Tuesday? I would bet most of you have already guessed. First off, thanks to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event. Feel free to jump in the fun by just sharing three fun tunes with everyone and use the tags #TTT or #threetunetuesday , and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze . One random winner will win some HSBI units, and that's never a bad thing!

For those who didn't figure it out yet, Rainbow can only mean the band Richie Blackmore's Rainbow fronted by one of the most talented rock singers of all time, Ronnie James Dio. Sadly, Dio passed away in 2010 of cancer, but his musical legacy remains. And since this is the Rainbow Mountain we have to start with "Man On The Silver Mountain".

Next up some more Rainbow with one of their best songs, "A Light In The Black".

And to finish off the trio I'll finish off with the song that some consider their best song, "Stargazer".

I'm a big Dio and Rainbow fan, so this was a perfect excuse to share some Rainbow and one of the coolest works of arts ever created by mother nature. I do hope you enjoyed the mountain and the music of the the classic metal band Rainbow. Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below, and as always thank you so much for all of your support. I really do deeply appreciate it. Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Hard to believe it was all just natural processes that created them!

Wow, that is pretty amazing. It's crazy to think they were covered up for all that time! Dio wasn't the nicest thing to look at (not that I have much to say), but boy could he sing!

I thought it was fake when I first saw it! It just looks to artistic looking to be natural, I would love to go see it in person.

Dio wasn't a pretty boy for sure, but he had one hell of a voice!

Thank you! Being in Venezuela the trip would be much shorter to go and see it than it would be for me! I haven't been to Peru in about twenty years now, and Caracas about 30 years now. I lived in Chile for many years in the 1990s though and used to travel all over South America!

Absolutely breathtaking! The sheer scale and artistry of nature's work here is humbling. I'm adding this to my bucket list... what an incredible testament to the power of time and geological processes.

I only found out about it yesterday, and now Peru is high on the travel list. It really is breathtaking, no other way to describe it. It's a shame it wasn't visible when I lived in South America in the 90's, but I need to plan a trip down there again sometime soon. Just have to increase my savings in my travel account!

That’s so amazing, it’s hard to believe that this is real!👍😊
I would love to see this in person myself truly amazing!
The Peruvian people do like their color you can tell that by their clothing I guess it’s only fitting that they have these beautiful mountains!🤗

You would be in shape for it, I forgot to mention it's a peak in the Andes Mountains at 16,000 feet up. I would need to acclimatize before I even tried that kind elevation!

Wow, 16,000 feet that is up there!😳
We used to hike, and drive above 12,000 feet in Colorado, but 16,000 is a touch more Lol!😇

I included this point right now on my oncoming trip through South America... In Peru there some other things I like to see too. So... Maybe in 3, 5 years? Depends on CCCEO... However... Marked in my map. The colors look less vibrant at Google Maps, as I expected, but however a interesting place.

Thank you for adding a point to the map! Please more of that!

Just remember it is a mountain peak, so you will need some time to get used to the elevation. It's 5K meters up in the Andes, so you may need to spend some time at higher elevations before you go. But you're young enough you might be OK!

If I had never seen the Painted Desert in the Southwest US I would have a hard time believing this was real! its not nearly as colorful, but makes you realize the possibility of these mountains. I'm ready to pack my bags and go.... (If only I could!)

The other problem with this particular site is it's a mountain peak in the Andes Mountains and is 16,000 feet up. So you have to acclimatize some before you make that trip. I used to climb up to 12,000 feet with no problem, but now even 8,000 feet tires me! To be young again! lol

Some of the good old stuff! When I found out about that mountain on Monday I already knew what I had to write about and share in TTT!

Absolutely stunning. I’ll add that to the bucket list.

Definitely an item to add, just remember that it is a mountain peak in the Andes Mountains and is over 15,000 feet (5K meters) so you'll need to acclimatize to high elevation for a couple weeks before you go to avoid elevation sickness!
