The best time to learn those survival skills is before they become necessary. Having served in the military you learn to them and you learn them well. Hopefully World War 3 doesn't drive the world back into the stone ages, but you never know. Luxury items are nice to have, but definitely not needed to survive.
It's really a shame that as people we can't all just band together and get along. Somehow we allow things like religion and government cause problems that those with the least luxuries to suffer the most...
Let's not have a zombie apocalypse, that would really suck! lol

Yeah, I watched a few TV shows on how the military works in the US, I'm not completely sure if it's true, but I saw those survival skills, and honestly, if the world goes to flames, these survival skills will come in handy.
I think people will never really understand what it means to get together to defeat a common enemy. It's just like how decentralization works on Hive, where we never tend to agree on anything, because we never have the same thoughts, feelings and ideas.
I think the zombie apocalypse might continue to remain Sci-fi, but we never can tell what will truly happen
Sadly, the most dangerous creature on the planet is a human. When I'm out in the forest or desert, it's the people you have to be careful about as there are some really crazy one out there. Zombies don't worry me, they're just Sci-Fi, but people rarely see eye to eye and resort to violence much too quickly...
